The Vineyard just completed one of its best seasons in history going 11-2, winning its 8th Mayflower League title, beating South Boston in the first round of the play-offs, and qualifying for the D3A Super Bowl. In the process the Vineyard broke a single season scoring record by scoring 437 points in 13 games. The previous record was 396 points in 12 games set back in 1997.
The Vineyard will be making the jump from Division 3A to Division 2 when they begin play in their new league, the EAC in 2009.
The Vineyard leaves the Mayflower League with 8 league titles, 5 Super Bowl wins, and 8 Super Bowl appearances since 1991.
